Unity was made a Paul Harris Fellow at a luncheon meeting of the club on Friday, 13 May 2011.

Unity is a lawyer, human rights activist and a writer. She has come from a rural background that tended towards traditional values.

She studied law in at the University of Botswana and the University of Edinburgh and went on to become the first female High Court judge in Botswana.

As a lawyer she earned acclaim for her stances on woman's rights.

As a novelist she has published five books. These books often deal with with issues concerning the struggle between traditional and Wetsren values. Her latest book is entitled 'Saturday is for Funerals' and covers the AIDS problem.

Last year, Unity was awarded the French Medal of the Legion d'honneur de France for her human rights activities.
