At 8:30 on Saturday 26 November, President William Lee, PP
Gary Lord, Rtn Sandra Stonehill, Rtn Itamar and Rtn Robert Lang loaded up some
the foodstuffs from the Donate a Can collection and headed off to SOS Village
in Tlokweng.

At SOS Village they were joined by Rtn Graham Burt and few members of Spar Supermarket, Riverwalk.
Some of the children plus the “Mother” from each of the houses were present for the handover of the food. There was 1 carton of food for each house.

The children sang a couple of songs for the Rotarians and
then President William addressed the children and explained to them the concept
of “Donate a Can” and stressed that the
food was actually donated by the shoppers who had been to the supermarkets the
previous weekend.
The cartons were handed over the “House Mothers” and then the children from the respective houses carried their carton to their house.
Rotary has been involved with SOS Village for many years. The Rotary Club of Gaborone Tirelo has been supporting house 14 for years and the house actually bears the Rotary logo. The Rotary Club of Gaborone has made a number of donations of cash to SOS in the past and have also supplied some furniture and blankets.
