Ben Gets a New Wheelchair

On Friday, 2 August 2013, the club donated a wheelchair to Ben Chitonho at the Gaborone Sun just prior to our weekly meeting.
Ben was involved in a car accident in 1991 which resulted in him losing the use of his legs.

Ben had been trying to obtain donations to repair his old wheelchair but it turned out that the wheelchair was beyond repair. A member of the public who had witnessed his attempts to obtain donations had put him in contact with the club.
He is keen to get involved in the repair of wheelchairs and has already been granted a scholarship to learn the various skills required to run the business. All that he requires now is the funds to buy the tools etc.

Ben has a very positive outlook on life. He amused some of the Rotarians by showing them his wheelchair acrobatic skills.
